Let's Play!

For the high scores list, do you want to enter your name or a "handle"? If you don't, you can leave it as "anonymous", but that's a bit boring!

* This feature works by putting a "Cookie" on your computer. What is a cookie? It's a small text file, in this case, with your name in it. Is it bad, evil and dangerous? No, not at all. Cookies have a bad reputation, but are actually quite useful things. You may have turned cookies off. If that the case, this feature won't work.

How to Play

If you have never played this game before it can be a little bit strange at first. What you have to do is make up a working computer out of computer parts. Once the computer is "complete" then you can sell it, hopefully for a profit. How much a machine is worth depends on what parts you make the system from.

The screen is broken up into thee important sections. At the top are the new parts, of which you get 4 at random each time. You must use at least one part of the four before you can get the next 4! If you can't use any of the parts, you will have to start again with a new system.

So, the idea is to build up a great computer. Not all parts are the same! If you use bad parts, the system may even be worth less than you paid for it. You need to have 6 parts before you can sell a computer - The case, motherboard, screen, OS, Hard Drive and CD. The other three items, with green labels, are optional but add greatly to the value of your system.

It's worth knowing that there are bonuses for three and four of a kind. If you get the same type of item (eg Motherboard) then this is worth quite a bit, but if you get exactly the same part (eg P4 Motherboards) then this is worth even more! If you can still make a system and sell it after this it will be worth a great deal indeed!!

Your score is accumulated during your session, and if it's good enough, it can go in the top scores list. This list is dynamic, and may change due to other players on the same server. Please do not be tempted to use the Back or Refresh buttons on your browser, as they will reset your system and score (it's considered cheating). To save the high score, simply close your browser. Can you be top geek?
